Over 700 K-5 students took part in our STEAM Roadshows last week, and what a great three days of learning, creating, experimenting, and problem-solving!
STEAM is about so much more than using technology. It's about what students DO with it. It's about asking questions, trying new things, figuring out what works (and what doesn't), and using creativity to solve problems. It's about giving students the chance to explore ideas, take risks, and turn their thinking into something real.
At G-E-T, our mission is “Learning for All, Learning for Life.” Experiences like Roadshow give students opportunities to build skills they can use far beyond the classroom. Whether they're designing, building, coding, or experimenting, they're learning to think creatively and approach challenges in new ways.
A huge thank-you to our Roadshow Team, teachers, volunteers, and student station leaders who helped make these three days possible. When we give students the tools, time, and opportunity to create, the possibilities are pretty exciting. And we're just getting started!

A big shout-out to our middle school and high school students from WEB Crew, Red Hawk Flock, and SkillsUSA who volunteered their time last week to help run stations at our STEAM Roadshow!
These students stepped up to help younger G-E-T students explore, experiment, problem-solve, and learn. They were great examples of what it means to live out our mission, “Learning for All, Learning for Life.”
Learning doesn't just happen in the classroom, and leadership doesn't always come with a title. Sometimes it's being willing to help, sharing what you know, and helping someone else discover what they can do.
Thank you to these students for giving their time and helping make Roadshow a great experience for our younger learners. We're proud to see our students supporting each other and helping make learning happen across our district!

Looking for a fun, interactive morning for your little ones? The G-E-T School District is excited to offer our Community Playgroup again this school year for children ages 3 & 4! It's a fantastic chance for kids to build social, motor, and communication skills through play—and a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect!
