I am one of the High School Counselors here at G-E-T High School. As a school counselor and advocate, I provide support to our students in their academics, career, and social/emotional needs. I believe it is important to provide support in all areas to assist our students in becoming productive and resilient students. I also work to collaborate with students, parents, and educators to create a positive and inclusive school environment. I am committed to empowering students to reach their full potential and navigate the challenges of school and life with confidence. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, traveling, gardening, attending concerts, and spending time with family and friends. Please feel free to reach out to me at annawhite@getschools.k12.wi.us or (608)-582-2291 ext. 1062 if you have any questions or need support.
Kara Yanacheck, RN, joined the G-E-T School District in 2022. “Nurse Kara,” as she’s known to our students, spends time in each school building throughout the week tending to the health needs of our students. Prior to joining G-E-T, she worked as Registered Nurse and Health & Wellness Coach for Marathon Health and the Kwik Trip Center for Health in La Crosse, WI. She’s also worked for Gundersen Health System in various medical roles.
Nurse Kara received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, associate’s degree from Western Technical College and School Nurse Certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Nurse Kara is a member of both the Wisconsin and National Associations of School Nurses, attending conferences annually.
Aligning with the school district’s mission, “learning for all, learning for life,” Nurse Kara strives to not only help our students with their immediate health needs, but teach them how to be healthy and well for a lifetime.
Hello, I am Lisa Mayer, School Psychologist at Ettrick Elementary School and in the Early Childhood program. I live in Trempealeau with my husband. I attended Ripon College as an undergraduate and UW-LaCrosse for my graduate degree. I have been in education for 27 years, 11 years as a substitute teacher at G-E-T, and 16 years as a school psychologist in Winona and G-E-T. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, biking, reading, and traveling.
Hi! I am Maureen Trim, current school psychologist at Galesville and Trempealeau Elementary Schools. I grew up in Galesville and graduated from G-E-T myself. I now live in Trempealeau with my husband who is a local dairy farmer, and two children who attend Trempealeau Elementary. I attended UW-La Crosse for both undergraduate and graduate coursework. Before working at G-E-T I spent 10 years in Onalaska School District. I have loved the transition to G-E-T and working within our community. When I am not at school I enjoy spending time outside with my family, practicing yoga and traveling.
