Today was a historic launch at G-E-T! Our youngest adventurers stepped onto the path of learning as they set out on their very first all-day 4K journey — a first-ever for our district!

Today we set off on our very first Redhawk Rally adventure for the year! Students gathered to celebrate September birthdays, revisit our PBIS expectations, and launch into a new school year full of possibilities. Changes are happening at Galesville Elementary! A new portable classroom has been placed out back to house our music program and a sensory room. This change allows us to add another section of all day 4K inside the main building, giving our youngest learners an even stronger start. #GalesvillePride
Today the community summer lunch program served 140 people. In addition, there was fresh produce from our community garden for families to take home and enjoy.
Thank you to all of our volunteers who help to make this happen and to our families and community members for coming out to join us.
Lunch is served from 11:30 to 12:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Trempealeau United Methodist Church, Tuesdays and Fridays at Cance Park in Galesville, and Thursdays in Ettrick at Living Hope Lutheran Church. Our final meal will be served on August 15.
That's a wrap at Galesville Elementary for the 24-25 school year. Celebrations today included our fifth grade walk through, summer Red Hawk birthdays, and annual kickball tournament ending in the first ever tie between staff and students. #galesvillepride
What a better way to celebrate a year of being safe, respectful, and responsible than with a splash -filled day at Three Bears Resort! Grades one through five earned their end of year PBIS trip by showing positive behavior throughout the school year, and yesterday they enjoyed water slides, wave pools, and lots of laughter with friends and staff.#GalesvillePride
What an incredible day at Galesville Elementary! Our annual talent show was a hit, with students showcasing an amazing variety of talents — from powerful singing voices and detailed drawing skills to ventriloquism acts that had the crowd smiling! We are so proud of our brave and creative performers for sharing their gifts with us.
And that’s not all! This year marked the return of field day, thanks to the efforts of Ms. Iverson and Mrs. G! Students enjoyed classic activities like the parachute, bean bag toss, and an exciting obstacle course. These events not only brought tons of fun and laughter, but also supported important educational and social-emotional skills — including teamwork, perseverance, communication, and self-confidence.

🚢⚙️ Our 2nd graders had a fun-filled field trip exploring local landmarks! They cruised down the Mississippi River on the LaCrosse Queen, learning about river habitats, transportation, and regional history. Then, they enjoyed hands-on play and movement at Trane Park, a fully inclusive space that encourages teamwork, creativity, and physical activity. A day full of learning, laughter, and lasting memories! 💙🌊🌳#galesvillepride
GE and EE first graders visited the UW-L Planetarium 🪐 today! We learned about constellations, planets, meteors, and other patterns we see in the night sky. After that we met up with some parent chaperones at Myrick Park for lunch, hiking, and play. It was a great day of exploring, learning, and fun. Thank you to our PTOs for sponsoring this trip!
🎓✨ Today we were honored to cheer on the graduating seniors as they took their final walk through the halls of Galesville Elementary — the place where their educational journey began. Our elementary students lined the hallways, clapping and high-fiving the seniors with smiles and endless excitement. What a full-circle moment to see how far they've come. 💡🎉 WOW! Galesville Elementary students helped raise over $11,500 for our PTO through the Glow Dance Party fundraiser! 🙌
We celebrated with a fun assembly where students won some incredible raffle prizes—like Principal for the Day, rides with community helpers, an air boat adventure, and so much more!
And because they beat their fundraising goal, seven lucky students got to pie staff in the face—a sweet (and messy!) reward for a job well done!
