G-E-T High School Names Weiler as Varsity Volleyball Coach
When the opportunity to take over the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau volleyball program arose, I knew this was the right time to step forward and take the reins of a team that I, along with our dedicated and experienced coaching staff, believes can be competitive in the Coulee Conference and beyond. Hello, my name is Jessica Weiler, last year’s Junior Varsity coach, who has taken over as the Red Hawks’ head coach.
With a solid nucleus to build around at the varsity level, along with some talented underclassmen coming up, we look forward to a new chapter of G-E-T volleyball. Our coaching staff has big expectations for our program and the players who comprise it, on and off the court. We will work hard to not only build strong and competitive teams at all levels, but outstanding individuals. Those individuals will proudly represent G-E-T on the volleyball court, and our staff is here to help them excel in the classroom as well. We will support other G-E-T activities and events and be a positive force in the community, which we believe are two important factors in being a Red Hawk athlete.
Personally, I have been around the game of volleyball since my early elementary years, and played through middle and high school in a very competitive and successful program. I have coached at various levels, mainly the middle school level, where I spent six years guiding, teaching and building young players.
I am excited and ready for this challenge, knowing that stability in the coaching ranks is just one step needed for a competitive program. With great effort from our players – and support from their families, friends and classmates – I believe we can build the Red Hawks’ program into something we are all proud of.
